Selling with Western Salerooms

Valuation

We can arrange a time for you to bring them to the salerooms or alternatively, send pictures by email or book a home visit.

We can discuss options for sales of larger quantities of items including house / container/garage clearances.

In many cases items that seem unimportant have sold for good prices, so don’t throw anything away before checking with us. We’ll let you know if it's not suitable for our auction and provide helpful feedback.

Storage prior to auction

Items offered in the auction sales are usually stored at the saleroom premises until the date of the sale. Once your items are accepted for an auction we will register you as a vendor and issue a receipt.

Agreeing sale terms and a reserve price

When selling your items you can arrange a reserve as the lowest price your item will sell for. There are 3 options -

  • Fixed reserve - Your item will not be sold for less than the agreed price
  • Discretionary reserve - You agree that your item can be sold for Your item can by sold for up to 30% less than the agreed reserve price
  • No reserve - Your item will be sold to the highest bidder

Most items sell without reserves.
